Thompson-Boling Arena Named after B. Ray Thompson and former U.T. president Dr. Edward J. Boling, the Thompson-Boling Arena is home to both the U.T. lady vols and the UT men's basketball teams. Seating 24,535. fans it is the second-largest campus basketball facility in the nation, The Thompson Bowling Arena is also used for music concerts featuring famous artists, conventions, and other major events happening in Knoxville, Tennessee. The arena contains more than 411,000 square feet of floor space, and entrances to the building are located on the east and west ends.
