Knoxville's Annual Boomsday Fireworks Display
|ANNUAL EVENTS- Knoxville's Boomsday, a labor day celebration featuring a grand finale of fireworks exploding from the Henley St. Bridge, attracted approximately 350.000 people to the 19th annual, 2006 festivities held in downtown Knoxville. About 1,400 boats floated in the Tennessee River and Ft. Loudon lake below the bridge.
This spectacular picture submitted by Brian Parton captures the excitement of the carnival like atmosphere that included live music, activities for children and many displays.
