Placing of the Flags - In honor to the Tennessee Veterans, American Flags are placed on every grave the day before Memorial Day. With over 4,000 graves on the site, this enormous task is accomplished entirely by volunteers. Lots of young people including the Boy Scouts and "Knoxville's Young Marines" Corp (pictured above) learn much about the sacrifices made and get an opportunity to show their pride and respect for the deceased.
